The Art + Art History Department at Saint Mary's College of
California (Moraga) seeks an Art Practice instructor to teach the
lower-division course, Art 055, Digital Art.
This course will be taught on the Moraga campus, in person,
on Mondays from 9:15am - 12:25 pm during the 2022 Fall

ART 055 - Digital Art: Photo, Video, and Sound
This introductory course investigates the digital editing tools,
processes, and concepts through which digital technology extends
traditional and conceptual 2d and time-based art practices.
Students will develop digital imaging, video, and sound projects
using current industry software. The course will combine extensive
software demonstrations, hands-on exercises, theoretical and
technical readings, discussion of a broad range of examples of
media art, and group critiques.
Core Curriculum Designation(s)
AA - Artistic Understanding (Analysis); CP - Artistic Understanding
Candidates should hold MFA in Art with relevant college-level
