Qualifications:
Introduction to Psychology introduces students to the science of how people think, feel, and behave. The course explores classic and contemporary research on such topics as the biological aspects of behavior; cognitive, personality, social, cultural, and developmental psychology; and psychopathology. Through the use of the scientific method, students will learn how psychology informs our understanding of what it means to be human.

This course will be taught on the Moraga campus in person on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 - 9:05 am during the Fall 2022 term.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular virtual office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

Candidates must be a resident of California and have an M.S., M.A. or Ph.D. in the relevant area of Psychology. A Ph.D. in Psychology is highly desirable. Candidates should have a successful record of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and experience/familiarity with online/hybrid instruction in order to prepare for contingencies. This position requires all course work to be performed in the state of California.
