Full-time Industrial Technology/Mechanical Systems Instructor

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the Industrial Technology department within the Technical Education and Workforce Development Division.  The appointment will be made for the Fall 2022 Semester.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate Degree in an Industrial area is preferred.
2. Five years’ relevant work experience is preferred.
3. Teaching experience in an accredited Industrial Technology program is preferred.
4. Experience in outcomes assessment preferred.
5. Experience in working with diverse student populations preferred.
6. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers, applicable software, and Internet required.

SALARY:  This is a nine-month position with the salary determined by placement on the base salary schedule. The actual starting salary is determined by educational attainment level and experience. For example, the minimum 2022-2023 starting salary at Step 1 on the Below Master’s Degree column is $48,491.  Overload and summer assignments can increase annual compensation by approximately 30%. The college offers a comprehensive flexible benefit program.

WORK LOCATION:  Sam Wolf Granite City campus with district-wide responsibilities.
