Position Purpose
The Program Coordinator is part of the Office of Student Life and works to support several key Student Life programs, including Divisional prizes, Commencement, leadership discovery, and New Student Programs. This position also supports Student Life initiatives and assists in managing day-to-day operations of the office. This position must be able to adapt to a fast-paced office environment and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience.
- At least three years of program development experience in an academic or corporate environment, with a high degree of autonomy.
- Demonstrated technical skill in standard office computer systems such as Google Drive tools, Microsoft Office, and Qualtrics.
- Demonstrated cultural competence and proven effectiveness in serving the needs of a diverse community with a strong commitment to inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility.
- Experience coordinating large-scale events.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and departmental integrity, creativity, collaboration, initiative, inclusive workplaces, and professionalism.
- Experience with benchmarking and creating accurate and informative reports.
- Demonstrated creative planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to respond appropriately to pressures, deadlines and frequent changes in priorities and schedules.
- Five years of relevant program development and project management experience in a fast-paced, highly demanding, and complex organization
- Familiarity with website copy development; proficiency with communication, social media and/or graphic design tools (Mailchimp, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Canva, Hootesuite and/or Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience managing large sets of data and creating accurate and informative reports.
- Interest in and commitment to diversity and inclusion, professional development, and organizational learning initiatives.
- High degree of flexibility, including the ability to work occasional nights and weekends.

Description
Office of Student Life Administration – 40%
· Serves as a point of contact for the office. Serves as source of information on department policies and represents the department to the community and beyond.
· Maintains high level of collaboration and communication with other offices in Student Life
· Fosters an inclusive, positive office environment that welcomes staff and students.
· Uses considerable independent judgment and professionalism in responding to requests for information by email or phone.
· Provides back-up administrative support to the Office of Student Life, as needed.
· Provides event support as needed for major events such as Homecoming/Bonfire, Winter Carnival, and Green Key Weekend, and Family Weekend.
· Plan and coordinates annual Student Life Awards.
· Serves on campus committees as assigned or requested.

· Assists in coordination, planning, and implementation of New Student Programs and the First-Year Experience.
· Coordinates facility and campus resource scheduling, collaborating with these partners throughout New Student Programs.
· Coordinates large-scale programs for incoming students, including placement exams and academic department programs.
· Manages timeline of communication to incoming students and first-year students.
· Supports the Orientation Leader Program and social events during Orientation.

· Supports Student Organization Accountability Program.
