Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our instructors/trainers are experienced educators with in-depth knowledge in their subject matter field, deeply committed to providing exceptional student support and exhibiting strong organizational and communication skills. CCAPE's clients/students trust our instructors/trainers with sensitive information, and our instructors/trainers have the highest level of integrity in all interactions, including respecting client organizational cultures and climates. Our training programs and course opportunities are contract-based and/or subject to enrollment.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  1. Work and communicate cooperatively with clients, students, and college staff.
  2. Create syllabus/class outline.
  3. Instruct students on the current version of QuickBooks (desktop) version and QuickBooks Online.
  4. Assess and grade (if applicable) students regarding course competencies.
  5. Instruct in-person for QuickBooks (desktop) version.
  6. Instruct using Zoom through live, scheduled sessions for QuickBooks Online version.
  7. Taking attendance, ensuring all students are accounted for and properly sign-in for each session.
  8. Being prepared to make reasonable accommodations for students should their needs or circumstances change, including but not limited to converting classwork to self-study assignments, switching from in person to virtual learning, peer tutoring, student support services and more.
  9. Ensuring all students participate in an evaluation form at the end of your course/training program.
  10. Submit required reports and fulfil all contract provisions.
  11. Maintain student, instructor, and staff confidentiality.



Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of related industry experience, certification, and training.
  2. Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks.
  3. Teaching or training experience preferred with an understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
  4. Zoom experience preferred, incorporating presentation tools and techniques to encourage and support student engagement.
  5. Willingness to embrace and adopt new learning technologies and techniques.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to remaining current in emerging trends, topics, and new research in subject matter area(s) of expertise.
  7. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  8. Effective oral and written communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  10. Adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments in a positive manner.
  11. Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : Contract/project-based, part-time (up to 18 hours per week) position; $50-$75/hour (commensurate with qualifications and experience); non-benefited.
