The Department of Chemistry has an immediate opening for an office manager in the main office who will organize and direct day-to-day operations.

COMPENSATION: 31600 to 58400
WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time. 8:00-5:00 M-F
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees daily operation of the main office including open hour
walk-ins and reception.
2. Coordinates key assignments and card security access.
3. Enters shop work orders and uploads data into Chembase.
4. Administers the summer enrichment and AP labs programs.
5. Schedules and maintains calendar for the Chemistry seminar room.
6. Reallocates administrative and shop purchasing cards.
7. Prepares travel, reimbursements and deposits.
8. Handles photo bulletin board, directory and mail delivery.
9. Alerts researchers of stockroom order receipts.
10. Places orders and maintains office supplies.
11. Assigned accounting and audit tasks on an ad hoc basis.
12. Coordinates meetings, interviews and events.
13. Assists with new hire onboarding and orientation.
14. Maintains lab coat assignments and schedule.
15. Develops systems and maintains administrative records.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of related
experience or equivalency. Demonstrated human relations and
effective communication skills also required.
