Full-time Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Economics

The Department of Economics, Marketing, and Analytics in the Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University is seeking applicants for a full-time Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in August 2022 and for a second full-time Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Economics to begin in August of 2023. These are permanent, non-tenure-track positions. We are looking for candidates with either an MS or PhD in economics, or a closely related field, who can provide quality experiences in the undergraduate curriculum. While teaching duties may be varied and somewhat flexible, the department has a particular need to cover courses in Principles of Economics (Micro and Macro), Quantitative Methods, and Managerial Economics. Teaching load is generally 4 or 5 courses per semester, depending on qualifications. Supplemental income opportunities may be available by teaching summer classes. Other responsibilities include mentoring students and providing service to the department, school, or university.

Southern Utah University is a comprehensive, Masters S institution serving about 13,000 students. Economics is housed in the School of Business, which is AACSB accredited and offers a full range of baccalaureate programs, as well as MBA, MAcc, and MSBA degrees.
