Assistant or Associate Professor of Business Analytics

The Department of Economics, Marketing, and Analytics in the School of Business at Southern Utah University seeks applicants for a faculty position in Business Analytics beginning in the fall of 2022, or as soon as possible thereafter. This is a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track position with rank depending on qualifications and experience. Teaching duties include courses in data analytics and related topics as needed. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Teaching load is generally three courses per semester. Research requirements entail approximately two peer-reviewed publications every five years. Meaningful service to the department, school, or university is also expected.

Minimum qualifications are a PhD in Business/Data Analytics or a PhD in a related field with extensive experience in business analytics.

Applicants with experience in teaching and applying data analytics are preferred. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to excel in teaching, conduct quality research, and help build the Business Analytics program.

The department also has an open position for a Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Business Analytics. Minimum qualifications are an M.S. in a relevant field and professional experience in applying business analytics. Teaching load is either 4 or 5 courses per semester, depending on qualifications. 

Southern Utah University is a comprehensive, Masters S institution serving about 13,000 students. Business Analytics is housed in the School of Business, which is AACSB accredited and offers a full range of baccalaureate programs, as well as MBA, MAcc, and MSBA degrees.
