Job Description:
Basic Function and Responsibility:
Under general supervision, coordinate the recruitment, evaluation, and advisement for the WEI program. This is a grant-funded position funded through Illinois Community College Board Workforce Equity Initiative Grant Program.
- Manage multiple aspects of the WEI grant program and ensure
that all program goals are met on an annual basis.
- Assist with the development, coordination, and oversight of a
targeted student recruitment plan for WEI Program
Participants.
- Work closely with the areas of Admissions and Registration,
Advising, Continuing Education, and other departments to ensure
excellent customer service and successful completion of student
enrollment processes.
- Provide ongoing advisement and support for enrolled students to
ensure completion of program requirements, make wrap around support
referrals and serve as an advocate as needed.
- Participate in targeted events throughout the district to
promote and garner interest for the WEI Grant Program.
- Coordinate the intake and orientation process for all
prospective WEI participants
- Serve as liaison with all external partners for programming,
recruitment, enrollment, and support.
- Maintain grant performance reports; ensure that accurate and
complete data is maintained for compliance.
- Collect and maintain student demographic and outcome data to
generate monthly/semester/annual reports to evaluate and document
performance and progress of students/project
- Work with the leadership and relevant internal departments to establish employer connections for recruitment and job opportunities post program completion.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education, Marketing, Business or
related field preferred or an equivalent combination of training
and experience.
- Evidence of a demonstrated commitment to the advancement of
racial equity
- Ability to execute multiple projects; be creative while
respecting the integrity of the institution.
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural
environment with students, faculty, and staff.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal
skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and planning.
- Effective customer service skills, relates well to diverse
populations
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft applications, social networks, and possesses the ability to quickly learn student tracking system
Work is performed in a general office environment and is sedentary in nature. Little or no exposure to adverse working conditions.

HOURS: Monday - Friday - 10:15 am - 7:00 pm
SALARY: $51,338
This is a temporary grant position and continued employment, is based on the successful renewal of the grant.
Based on the needs of the college and with Administrator approval, some positions at the college may have remote or hybrid schedule options available. Please note, that during the 65 working day probationary period, employees are required to report to campus.
