Job Summary:

The Custodial Services teams provides services to multiple floors in the 333 East Campus Mall. These floors include offices, meeting space and break areas. There are 7 Medical Clinics floors and one floor that is primarily Mental Health Clinic. Unique cleaning guidelines may be in place in some of these areas.

Responsibilities:

Identifies work unit resources needs, supervises and develops effective custodial teams and/or coordinates project work to ensure the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of institutional property.
  • 30% Identifies work unit resource needs, manages workflow components, schedules logistics and secures resources for the completion of established projects by internal and external entities
  • 10% Implements the use of and provides training for new supplies/equipment to ensure adequate utilization
  • 30% Exercises supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees
  • 20% Develops, implements, and schedules operational work plans of staff for one or multiple projects or work units
  • 10% Identifies, develops and implements facility emergency and hazardous response policies and procedures to align with institutional safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required
Custodial experience 3 years required; 5 years preferred
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
