Position Purpose: The Facilities and Events Manager supports
the Operations and the Athletic Department with organizing,
administrating, and coordinating all aspects of the Spartan
Athletic Park facilities and events at Aurora University.

Essential Job Functions:
Serves as the primary supervisor and manager of the Spartan
Athletic Park, a facility with multiple competition venues located
one mile off of the Aurora University main campus.
Works in conjunction with Campus Public Safety and other campus
administrators to make sure the facility is properly monitored at
all times.
Maintains equipment inventory, cares for and provides
maintenance of athletic equipment.
Organizes and provides maintenance and upkeep of locker rooms
and storage areas.
When instructed, submits work orders for the maintenance of
athletic facilities.
Responsible for the setup and breakdown of facilities for home
athletic events.
Verify that the game clock operator is prepared to follow NCAA
game clock guidelines and coordinates pregame routine with
officials and coaches.
Checks event setup, confirms game personnel, and confirms
security as necessary for home athletic contests.
Greets and makes introductions with opposing coaching staffs
and game officials. When applicable, provide payment checks to
officials (check with the Administrative Assistant beforehand to
see if checks are available).
General computer knowledge with a proficiency in Word and
Excel.
Knowledge of social media outlets.

Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to operate small machinery as well as endure
physically strenuous work-outs and physical exercise on a daily
basis, including standing and/or walking for long periods, bending,
stooping, lifting; manual dexterity; lifting of up to 50
pounds.
