The Director of Financial Reporting will serve in the Controller’s Office, a division of Finance and Administration. This position will provide technical direction in the preparation of financial reports and maintain the integrity of general ledger data to enable informed decision making by management and University stakeholders. This position must collaborate and partner with campus academic and administrative staff to continually improve accounting processes and reporting. This position acts independently to resolve any operational or management issues in the Financial Reporting Department. Issues and priorities are not well-defined requiring extensive interpretation of available facts and to arrive at the appropriate decisions. Work is primarily self-initiated and reviewed in terms of meeting goals and objectives. This position requires the ability to make sound decisions and recommendations quickly in a very complex environment.

 

 

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field and experience in progressive financial reporting responsibility.

 

 

Management Preferences:  Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field, or CPA or CFA license, and two years of progressive responsibility in a higher education environment.
