Operations and Communications Coordinator, I-HACK

Gannon University, a Catholic University located in Erie, Pennsylvania, invites applications for the position of Operations and Communications Coordinator in the Institute of Health and Cyber Knowledge (I-HACK). The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations planning and execution of projects and events for the Institute. Duties will include (but not be limited to): supporting and promoting the academic Cyber programs, its leadership, faculty, staff, and students, coordinating usage of Hatchery studios for student groups and industry partners, hiring student employees for internal and external employment, supporting recruitment and grant writing efforts.
 Requirements include an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in business, communications, management, marketing, or IT. Individuals with an associate degree and appropriate experience will be considered. Must be proficient and at ease with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with website maintenance and social media site set-up and postings required or skills must be acquired. A minimum of two years in a professional business setting or a combination of education and work/internship experience is preferred. Must feel comfortable presenting information to groups and giving tours to various audiences. Must work well in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable performing secretarial and administrative duties simultaneously. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and a professional demeanor and presence. Past exposure to higher education environments is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license.
