Assistant Professor of Research Methodology

The Underwood International College (UIC) of Yonsei University invites applications for a non-tenure track teaching position as Assistant Professor of Research Methodology at the Yonsei International Campus in Songdo, Incheon, located within the greater Seoul metropolitan region in South Korea.  

Description and Qualifications

This is a two-year renewable position, with renewal based on teaching and research excellence. The area of specialization is open, but attention will be given to applicants who are capable of teaching an undergraduate course in social science research methods.

Teaching responsibilities are 9 credit-hours (3 classes) per semester and consist of teaching Research Design and Quantitative Methods (RDQM) as part of UIC’s core curriculum. The starting date is March 1, 2023. Compensation includes competitive salary, health insurance, and other benefits. Additionally, non-Korean citizens not currently living in Korea are eligible for housing support (for up to 6 years).

All instruction is in English, and the student body represents over 70 different countries.    2. Copies of certificates of graduation & transcripts from B.A., M.A. and Ph.D.
   3. Ph.D. Dissertation
   4. Main research publications published after March 2018
   - For main achievements (up to five), please check “Main Achievement” in the list of research records of the list of publications form.
   - Either the originals or the copies of applicant’s five main publications published after March 2018 should be submitted along with a summary of research (one page or less) for each publication.
2. Teaching evaluations

For shortlisted candidates, the following documents must be sent via post:

1. Original certificates of graduation & transcripts from B.A., M.A. and Ph.D.
   2. Two letters of recommendation (from professors or professionals in the same program or field)
