The Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts & Interdisciplinary Studies at Emerson College is looking to fill two sections of one course for the Fall 22 semester, Sept 2, 2022-Dec 16, 2022. The available course is: African American History (HI 211)

African American History surveys sub-Saharan history of the pre-colonial era, and the history of African Americans from the slave trade through the Civil War to the present.

The course fulfills the History and Politics Perspective and the U.S. Diversity Perspective.

For the Fall 2022 term, both sections of African American History are scheduled to meet twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The first is scheduled to meet from 12:00-1:45 pm, and the second is scheduled to meet from 2:00-3:45 pm.

Enrollment for each course section is capped at 35 students and will take place in person on the Boston campus.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
