Job Summary

The Office of Advancement encourages applications for a Senior Project Manager that will assist with marketing campaigns, creative projects, and project management!

The Senior Project Manager will manage the intake and project management systems and processes to develop and implement integrated marketing programs and creative content, to ensure deliverables meet timelines in place. All while operating in a fast-paced environment with competing responsibilities and multiple partners and a cross-functional team.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Field all requests via our intake process (Workfront), build plans and assignments, and ensure project deliverables are reviewed and delivered
  • Host project meetings at least once a week with team and managers
  • Provide feedback, advice, project updates and encouragement to team members
  • Manage timelines and push the team to ensure timeliness
  • Coordinate with partners and units as needed
  • Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for benchmarks and adhering to set timelines
  • Delegate project tasks to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in harmony
  • Connect with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjust schedules and targets as needed or financing for the project changes
What You Should Know

All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to comply with the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement . New employees must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.

This is a temporary, part-time position expected to last May through August 2022.

What We Can Offer

The hourly pay range is $45.00 - $50.00.

Benefits
Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave .

What We Require
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of professional, job-related experience
  • Prior experience in any related leadership or management role
  • Engagement Marketing or Marketing Operations experience
What You Will Need
  • Solid understanding of marketing operations, including digital marketing channels and tools (email, online structures, including HTML and site hosting)
  • A passion for learning the latest digital marketing and marketing operations technologies
  • An understanding of basic database structures
  • Knowledge of Workfront, our project management tool
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines and meticulously manage details
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to multi-task, coordinate several programs and prioritize work to meet agreed upon deadlines
  • Ability to deliver unrivaled customer service to a variety of different users with varied technical backgrounds and needs
  • Clear understanding of e-mail standard methodologies
  • Extraordinary leadership skills including decisiveness and the ability to delegate effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Direct project management experience
  • Experience in Higher Ed Advancement Marcom preferred
