THIS POSITION IS FUNDED VIA MULTIPLE GRANTS. EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED FUNDING FROM GRANT PROVIDERS.

Individual sought to support the Voinovich School of Leadership and
Public Service’s applied research such as program evaluation and
needs assessments in health, education, and community social
services. The Voinovich School works to find solutions to
challenges facing communities, the economy, and the environment. As
a key member of multidisciplinary project teams within The School
and with external partners, this person will provide technical
assistance, data analysis and program evaluation services to
government and/or non-profit organizations throughout Ohio.
Candidate must be highly self-motivated and able to work
collaboratively within multiple project teams as well as work
independently. Qualified candidates will have the ability to
utilize database and statistical software programs to organize,
manage and analyze data, interpret findings, and prepare reports
summarizing findings using data visualization techniques and
non-technical language, move multiple tasks forward simultaneously,
learn new software and analytical methods as well as communicate
effectively with project sponsors.
The ideal candidate must have a high attention to detail and should
have the ability to draw information from multiple sources to
identify potential solutions for identified issues; skills in
collecting data for tracking and reporting of project outcomes;
ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and
perspectives to accomplish project goals; ability to establish and
maintain collegial relationships with senior management,
co-workers, project sponsors; ability to accurately communicate
verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences
including project sponsors, stakeholders and other professionals;
and the ability to travel to counties to meet with project
stakeholders. Knowledge of social service sector within Southeast
Ohio is a plus.
Will consider applicants whose primary work setting is offsite but
position requires on campus presence a minimum of once per quarter
and a maximum of once per month.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
master’s degree in field that includes quantitative and/or
qualitative research methods such as behavioral science, social
science, education or other related field, OR Bachelor’s Degree
plus at least four (4) years of relevant knowledge and prior
experience with public, private non-profit and social service
organizations and systems.
Access to reliable home internet to support remote work when
needed. Driver’s license and ability to travel. Ability to work
evenings and weekends if necessary to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
master’s degree in field that includes quantitative and/or
qualitative research methods such as behavioral science, social
science, education or other related field, OR Bachelor’s Degree
plus at least four years of relevant knowledge and prior experience
with public, private non-profit and social service organizations
and systems.
Prior experience in conducting mixed methods applied research
and/or program evaluation. Additionally, the ideal candidate has
experience with SPSS or R.
