Position Summary

The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology /Oncology is seeking to recruit a tenure track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level.

We seek a candidate who uses cutting-edge approaches to address physiological problems that have a strong translational relevance. The candidate will have a record of peer reviewed publications which has contributed to the field of Cancer Biology. Successful candidates will complement existing strengths in the Division, particularly in cancer biology research. These strengths include, but are not limited to, epigenetic alterations associated with resistance to Anti- VEGR kinase inhibitors in renal cell cancer, androgen receptor (AR) targeted therapy for prostate cancer, with a focus on drug development.

We are interested in recruiting an outstanding scientist/clinician scientist with an interest in forging collaborations and engaging in research involving innovative in vivo technologies.

In this position, the faculty member will
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded internationally recognized research program.
  • Research findings will be disseminated through publishing in top peer-reviewed journals and research presentations at scientific national or international meetings, or through invited presentations at research institutions.
  • Faculty member will provide research mentoring, career and professional development opportunities for undergraduate, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and will be active in service in the department, school, and university.
Salary
85,000 – 105,000

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in a relevant field.
  • Have proven success in conducting research as demonstrated by impactful publications, grant funding, and mentoring and career development training.
