Coordinates, facilitates and supports the talent management area of Human Resources including employment and training services.

  1. Handles training class administration including, but not limited to, maintain sessions in PeopleSoft, coordinating class enrollment, and providing attendee lists and reports to trainers.
  2. Responsible for ensuring that all UH System new hires are enrolled in mandatory new hire training and orientation.
  3. Maintains HR Training calendar and schedules training room reservations accordingly.
  4. Advances the university's opportunities by participating in recruitment efforts and referring qualified internal candidates for vacant positions.
  5. Assist in processes related to onboarding including completing checks on backgrounds, debts and duplicate PeopleSoft information as needed.
  6. Responsible for all aspects of New Hire Orientation including room set up, vendor preparations, etc.
  7. Participates in job fairs and other recruiting functions to expand the university's job pool as needed.
  8. Responds to training and employment related service inquiries and concerns; and provides on-going metric reports.
  9. Assists with ensuring all materials both print and visual have a consistent professional brand that aids in department product recognition.
  10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Bachelors and 1 year experience

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
