Salary range starts at: $15.87 per hour
Hours:9 AM – 6 PM or 10 AM – 7 PM

Job Summary:
The Enrollment Services Center (ESC) is a one-stop shop which provides support to students through their enrollment process including but not limited to assistance in admissions, financial aid, billing, and registration. ESC is one of the initial points of contact for a student with questions at Columbia College. The Enrollment Service Center Specialist I will provide excellent customer service through all forms of communication and counsel students through processes related to their enrollment through graduation.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with Columbia College’s vision, mission and values, and contributes to the development of the Enrollment Service Center Department.
  • Respond to in-person, phone, and email inquiries in an effective, timely, and customer-focused manner, providing accurate information and appropriate referrals to other offices/staff as needed.
  • Understand the interaction of potential barriers for enrollment and how to help a student navigate those barriers. This includes financial aid regulations, institutional policies, individual student concerns, etc. Put to use various tools in a professional toolbox to provide enrollment support.
  • Focus on relationship building and proactive outreach to enhance the student enrollment experience.
  • Assists in student support activities, registration events, and college activities.
  • Display respect and civility to all constituencies in all communications.
  • Attend work timely and on a regular basis during the established hours of operation; work additional hours as business necessitates.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree
  • One to two years’ experience in customer service area.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ellucian Colleague experience; Microsoft Office Suite; Target X experience
  • One to three years’ experience in higher education environment.

Special Requirements:
  • Evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
