The Dahlkemper School of Business at Gannon University seeks to fill a full-time, nine-month faculty position in the management area for the Fall of 2022. Candidates will be considered for a tenure-track or teaching-track position, at the Assistant Professor level, depending upon qualifications.The position carries teaching responsibilities for courses in introduction to business, principles of management, business policy and strategy (undergraduate capstone), business statistics, leadership, and other management-related areas based upon the incumbents' expertise. Graduate-level courses may also be part of the teaching load. The normal teaching load is 24 credits per academic year for tenure-track faculty and 27 credits per academic year for teaching-track faculty. Teaching may occur in face-to-face, online, or hybrid modalities.Tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate ability toward scholarly activity in their fields, keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship; an earned doctorate (or completed by August 1, 2022) and prior teaching experience are required. Tenure-track and teaching-track faculty are expected to demonstrate teaching excellence and be prepared to teach at both the graduate and undergraduate level, maintain an appropriate level of professional development, advise students, and provide service to the university and community.Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in business administration, management, or a management-related field for a tenure-track appointment. Doctoral candidates near completion are encouraged to apply. Candidates with a master's degree and significant prior teaching and/or professional experience in management or a specific management-related discipline are encouraged to apply for a teaching-track appointment. A strong commitment to teaching excellence, evidenced by strides taken to achieve appropriate student learning outcomes in all courses. Experience working with a diverse student body is desirable. A well-defined research agenda and the potential to publish in quality peer-review journals within the area of expertise are required for a tenure-track appointment. Scholarship, as defined by the Boyer Model, includes The Scholarship of Discovery, The Scholarship of Integration, The Scholarship of Application; and The Scholarship of Teaching. Faculty will fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities as described in the Gannon University Institutional Policy Manual (IPM) including those above as well as advising students and maintaining service to the University, community, and the profession.Gannon University is a master's level institution located on Lake Erie and in the heart of Erie, Pennsylvania.
