CONTEXT OF THE JOB:

Delaware Innovation Space (DISI) is an established non-profit entrepreneurial support organization for scientific start-ups that was enabled through collaboration and support from the University of Delaware, the State of Delaware and DuPont. The incumbent will have a commitment to superior interactions, service, and follow-up with the organization's diverse external and internal stakeholder groups.

Under the general direction of DISI's Operations and Facilities Director, the Program Coordinator of Client Experience is responsible for the overall Client Experience, both for existing residential clients as well as prospective clients. The Program Coordinator creates and executes an array of marketing, engagement and business support initiatives while serving as first contact and site activity coordinator. Key responsibilities include community building and related events, new client onboarding, business reviews with current residential clients, site guest reception, event planning, site tour coordination, marketing campaigns (including social media and website updates), program development, and stakeholder communication.

The Program Coordinator will be seconded from the University of Delaware to the Delaware Innovation Space and be on the leadership team of the Delaware Innovation Space and will receive day to day and overall strategic guidance from the Operations and Facilities Director of DISI as part of that organization as well as administratively from the Assistant to the Vice President for Research, Scholarship & Innovation for UD specific matters.



MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborates with the DISI leadership team to set stakeholder outreach and engagement goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates, markets, and facilitates events, including logistics (ie. site security, reservations, catering, collateral, equipment, signage, and hotel and transportation arrangements for guests), ensuring that operations are in accordance with DISI goals and objectives and Experimental Station security protocols.
  • Plans and executes evaluation and tracking metrics for outreach projects and initiatives.
  • Identifies opportunities to refine, augment, expand and leverage DISI's brand promise and value proposition.
  • Manages site guest reception area and collaboration spaces of DISI including coordination of package delivery and guest and visitor access to site and procurement and inventory of supplies for the collaboration areas.
  • Engages with key internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, prospects, corporate campus community members, research institute collaborators, investors, suppliers and service providers, collaborators, and site guests.
  • Analyzes data and prepares reports on the impact of various business development and marketing programs.
  • Administers communications, marketing and public relations projects, events and training, and surveys.
  • Creates files and maintains records including but not limited to CRM.
  • Assists in planning of advertising, listings and search engine marketing campaigns, and distribution of materials to media partners.
  • Manages and administers subscriptions, memberships, and passwords.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or other related field, and three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule, as the responsibilities of the position will require some travel including participation in several evening and weekend events.
