Weekend Radio Dispatcher
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a part-time Weekend
Dispatcher in the University Police department.
The candidate would be expected to: receive incoming telephone or
alarm system calls regarding emergency and non-emergency police and
fire service, emergency ambulance service, information and after
hours calls; question callers to determine their locations, and the
nature of their problems in order to determine the type of response
needed; relay information and messages to and from emergency sites,
to law enforcement agencies, and to all other individuals or groups

Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Required Skills or Software:
Must be able to utilize a variety of computer software programs in
order to successfully complete assigned tasks, Excellent
interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be
able to treat confidential and sensitive information
Required Years of Experience:
Radio dispatch experience.
Ability to complete dispatch desk reports and other related
reports. Must be reliable, able to monitor several radio and
telephones concurrently, remain calm under pressure and be able to
communicate effectively with students, employees and the general
public. Willingness to work on University holidays and to work
overtime when required.
High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of MS Office.
