About the Opportunity

Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of marketing/communications and specifically email strategy. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent technical and analytic skills. Self-starter with demonstrated ability to handle projects from start to finish and strong leadership skills to support the unit's interests and goals as assigned. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Knowledge and skills required are often obtained through a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical, communications related field, plus at least 3-5 years of experience in email management, communications or marketing technology. Experience working within marketing/communications technology such as a marketing automation tool (MAP) or Email Service Provider (ESP) like Iterable is strongly preferred. Experience with a customer relationship management system (CRM) is a plus. Experience in content management systems (CMS) is preferred. Experience in higher education is a plus.

Responsibilities:

1) This role will play a key operational role in supporting the Email Automation Manager through the ESP implementation, helping to train up the team, participating in the QA process, and
  • The focus of this role will be documentation, template support, quality control/email data checks, and maintenance of Iterable working closely with the data team and Product Manager
  • Day-to-day responsibilities require living and breathing within Iterable, ensuring that campaigns are firing smoothly, data and processes are QC'd, and assisting campaign managers with new campaigns

    2) Assists Email Automation Manager in building new campaign workflows in Iterable, ensuring functionality is turned off or on each cycle, retiring old flows, creating new flows, etc. If maintaining, updating, or iterating strategy, works directly with Campaign Manager to finalize.
  • Works daily, hand in hand with the Data team to build dynamic lists, create new data structures, and implement scalable naming and organizational system. Including reviewing the component map, frequently used lists, reviewing email test data, support one-off, real-time needs to add conditional logic, revise HTML templates, check the coding on something, add in variable logic.

    3) Support Email Automation Manager in training the team on Iterable and support maintenance/completion of the team training guide and documents everything through the implementation.

    4) Each member of the team is responsible for building emails, managing content with partners, taking on email approver assignments, and other daily activities and initiatives within the team. Each member of the team is also responsible for acting as an account manager for partners, leading them through review and approval processes, and ensuring buy in and collaboration. Each member of the team is responsible for acting as their own project manager and ensuring they take a proactive approach to kicking off projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met, and navigating a sometimes challenging process
