About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
The Study Nurse will be part of the PROTECT/ECHO research studies based at the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position will recruit and complete the consent process for study participants, working to meet a weekly goal of recruitment. The Study Nurse will complete follow-up interviews with participants, both in-person and by telephone. They will be responsible for accurately filling out study questionnaires while interviewing participants. They will also perform medical record data abstractions and enter data into REDCap. The Study Nurse will collect biological samples from participants. This will involve coordinating with both participants and laboratories. Transporting biological samples will also be required.

Qualifications:
Degree and certification in nursing required and 1-3 years' experience preferred. The Study Nurse must have excellent written and oral communication skills and will be detail-oriented and organized, and excellent interpersonal skills. Fluency in Spanish, ideally Puerto Rican Spanish, is required. Prior experience in research studies is preferred.
