Job Description

Position: Software Applications Developer III

Job duties:
  • Configure, analyze, design, develop, and maintain ERP program code and applications to support business processes and functions.
  • Provide technical input to other areas and gather technical data from outside organizations.
  • Identify, propose, and develop innovative solutions to improve system performance and availability.
  • Work to define complex tasks, where guidance may be gleaned from published literature, industry trends, procedures, and possible solutions may be gleaned from published literature procedures, and manuals.
  • Develop innovative approaches to complex problems that address a wide array of technologies. Document all work as normal part of work processes routinely.


In connection with above duties, utilize experience in a higher education domain providing support and developing applications against Ellucian Banner; designing, developing PL/SQL Job Subs, Perl Scripts per the requirements against Ellucian ERP; developing responsive Web Applications using PHP/Laravel Framework including JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX on Frontend per the requirements to support various offices in Enrollment management and Student Success (EMSS) and strategic initiatives; software design and development using PHP, JAVA, Java Script, PERL, ORACLE PL/SQL, shell script; developing REST based Web services for the application to seamlessly integrate with supporting sub systems and use of Eclipse, Postman, IntelliJ, and JDK.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field plus 3 years experience in job offered or 3 years experience in related field. Requires 2 years experience in a higher education domain providing support and developing applications against Ellucian Banner; designing, developing PL/SQL Job Subs, Perl Scripts per the requirements against Ellucian ERP; developing responsive Web Applications using PHP/Laravel Framework including JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX on Frontend per the requirements to support various offices in Enrollment management and Student Success (EMSS) and strategic initiatives; software design and development using PHP, JAVA, Java Script, PERL, ORACLE PL/SQL, shell script. Also requires 1 Year experience in developing REST based Web services for the application to seamlessly integrate with supporting sub systems and use of Eclipse, Postman, IntelliJ, and JDK.

Position requires ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others. All positions are security-sensitive. In lieu of Masters degree, employer will accept Bachelors degree in above listed fields plus 5 years of progressive work experience in related software development occupation. Experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
