General Information

Chapman University School of Pharmacy (CUSP), the first ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy in Orange County, California, seeks excellent candidates to join its faculty in the Department of Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy. This full-time, calendar-year, tenure-track position is at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning in August. We are particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the areas of pharmacoeconomics, pharmacy health outcomes, and health policy.

The newly-remodeled facilities consist of modern classrooms and state-of-the-art research laboratories, core facilities, and equipment. Additionally, the Health Science Campus is strategically located near a number of biopharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical devices companies. Qualifications

Required
• A Ph.D. in pharmacy administration, health outcomes research, health services research, pharmacoeconomics, social behavioral sciences, or related areas with expertise in pharmacy management, health policy, or pharmacoepidemiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
• A professional pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program.
• Research and/or teaching expertise in the areas of pharmacy management, pharmacoeconomics and/or health policy. Applicants should have peer-reviewed publications in the areas of pharmacoeconomics, health outcomes, or pharmaceutical policy. The Department of Pharmaceutical Economics and Policy is comprised of four core faculty members and one lecturer.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the PharmD and MS/PhD graduate programs.
• Develop and maintain an extramurally-funded research program.
• Mentor professional and graduate students.
• Participate in the service activities of the department, school, and University.
• Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
