Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant and inclusive educational community and have a desire and ability to work with a diverse population. This is a part-time position with no benefits. STEM Special Programs Coordinator is responsible for coordination, project management, and administrative support for STEM Dean’s Office with a focus on supporting the planning, delivery, and reporting for the Division’s special programs. This position will assist the Dean’s office in the planning, promotion, and implementation of all related programming, platforms, and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and reporting of selected special programs as assigned by Dean;
  • Create program management schedules and monitor activities;
  • Monitor implementation of program activities, policies, and provide updates;
  • Coordinate communications for the program and activities;
  • Schedule, organize, and prepare minutes or summaries of program-related meetings and events;
  • Coordinate and provide support on the use of campus technology with internal and external vendors;
  • Create and maintain program records, reports, and presentations;
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment; with three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include career development, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic environment, or personal computer operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action and workforce diversity;
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
  • Strong organizational and technology skills;
  • Exercise strong time management and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Commitment to participatory decision-making;
  • Experience with vendor management a plus.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $30.03 per hour

Position Type: MCCC-Professional, Grade 4
