The Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a non-tenure track, Associate Clinical Professor of Educational Administration to begin fall 2022. The department seeks candidates with experience and credentials in PK-12 educational administration and leadership. We seek a colleague who is prepared to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative educational programs, who connects effectively with practitioners and scholars alike to help build scholarly and practitioner-oriented capacity that allows our students to investigate and deal with social issues of equity and democracy in their professional settings. We are especially interested in applicants who genuinely value ideals of collaboration, service, equity, diversity, and inclusion in educational administration and leadership by facilitating a learning environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of varying cultures and background.

This position would be focused on teaching and service to the department in the form of instructional, curricular, and administrative support of the superintendent program as well contribute to teaching and program development in the principal preparation program, and teaching and advising students in the educational leadership doctoral program, on-campus and online. The teaching load would be 5 courses/assignments per semester.

Required Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Educational Administration/Leadership from an accredited university.
  • Experience PK-12 settings supervising or otherwise working closely with campus principals and district administrators.
  • Holds valid Texas principal (or mid-management) and Texas superintendent certifications.
  • Evidence of commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Experience in incorporating high quality teaching in an online environment and experience in developing online curriculum at the graduate level.
  • A minimum of five years of experience at the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor or comparable.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years of experience as a Texas campus principal and/or Texas district superintendent.
  • Substantial experience in supervising dissertations and/or dissertation committee work.
  • A record of published scholarship.
