Summary/Objective

This position directly assists the OIT leadership team in the financial, personnel, and contractual administration of the Office to help ensure all University requirements for accurate and efficient management are accomplished; assesses the role of the Office within the University community for better customer support, and maintains a database for all Information Technology Assets (workstations, software licenses) to ensure an accurate and complete record keeping for the projects related to this task. This job requires self-direction and minimal supervision.

Work Environment
  • This position reports directly to the Associate Chief Information Officer.
  • This position is the primary staff liaison within the unit for procuremen t, personnel, and timekeeping budget. administration, and service contract management.
  • This position may on occasion coordinate and supervise part-time or temporary help for office and executive administration assistance.

Required Education and Experience
  • Associates degree or higher in Business or equivalent in training and/or experience.
  • Three years of progressively responsible and independent experience carrying out administrative and financial management duties in a complex office environment, preferably in computing.
  • Computer experience required including demonstrated skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written skills and ability to maintain a "service" orientation.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and learn new applications quickly in an ever-changing computer environment.
  • Willingness to participate in self-improvement courses.
