POSITION SUMMARY : Assess and treat individuals with mental illnesses or substance abuse problems via telemedicine platform and in person. Such services include individual therapy, outreach, crisis intervention, social rehabilitation, and teaching skills for everyday living for patients of all ages (children, adolescents, adult, and geriatric issues) in a behavioral health environment. This position is part of an interprofessional consult service for WVUHS system hospitals and non-system hospitals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR NURSE PRACTITIONER :
- Master’s Degree in related field.
- Licensing or certification at the following levels:
Licensed Psychologist, OR
Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW), OR
Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), OR
LPC or Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC), OR
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
NOTE : Non-independently licensed therapists must obtain their independent licensure within 3 years of employment
