Posted Salary: Salary based on experience and education, range is $38,000 - $47,000

Job Description:

Reporting to the Director, the Coordinator of Student Conduct and Community Standards will assist in the daily operation and functioning of the office. The Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the resolution of mid to upper-level complaints of alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, serving as an Administrative Hearing Officer, investigating for student and student group/organization misconduct, and providing advocacy for students experiencing varying levels of crisis.

The Coordinator will also be responsible for developing and executing office outreach and programming, collaborating with other areas across campus, assisting with the training of University Hearing Officers and Hearing Boards, and working with the Director to develop and advance a Conflict Resolution Program. Finally, the Coordinator will be responsible for preparing materials for hearings, generating reports/data using the conduct database, serving on University and Divisional committees, and providing supervision to various levels of paraprofessional staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, or related field from an accredited institution
• 1 - 3 years of graduate or professional experience in student conduct in a college or university setting
• Awareness of federal and state compliance expectations, including FERPA, Clery, and Title IX
• Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience working with student conduct systems
• An understanding of the current issues in the field of student conduct and advocacy as well as trends in higher education
• Experience supervising paraprofessional staff

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience investigating and managing student group and organizational conduct cases
• Experience working with individuals involved in sexual misconduct and intimate partner violence cases (complainants, respondents, and witnesses)
• Experience working with and supporting students in crisis
