This position serves as the initial contact person for students and family members for the Office of Admissions. This position communicates specific admission information to prospective undergraduate and graduate students, parents and family members, high school counselors and other campus offices.

This position assesses all undergraduate admission files for completion of Pre-College curriculum, Kentucky Council on Post-secondary Education ( CPE ) Admission Standards, NKU Admission Standards and Program-specific admission standards and makes informed and accurate admission decisions based upon these results, and handles all admissions correspondence.

This position is responsible for 90% of all Undergraduate admission decisions. This position also assists in collection and processing of Application fees and Enrollment Confirmation Fees.

This position assesses all graduate admission files for completion to include, college credentials, GRE / GMAT scores, other application materials and produces applicant correspondence. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for processing undergraduate, graduate, and school based scholar applications (19,000+ are received annually).

Evaluates high school transcripts, college transcripts, ACT, SAT, AP, IB scores, makes decisions on admissions, restrictions, residency and course placement.

Accurately enters necessary data into Student Information System ( SAP and SLATE ), processes application fee and correspondence and ensures data accuracy.

Provided error-resolution with on-line workflow via SAP and Perceptive Content and utilizes SLATE and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ensures records are properly secured in keeping with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Acts ( FERPA ).

Provides outstanding customer service to prospective students/parents, current students, faculty and staff members and answers incoming calls to the university and the Office of Admissions.

Assist with multiple recruitment events and on-site and off-site admissions programs.

Works under the direction of the Assistant Director of Processing to ensure data quality and record retention is being met. Qualifications
High school diploma/ GED and two year of previous experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. One to two years of college level courses and two years experience in modern office practices, procedures and equipment is highly preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Person must be punctual. Must have ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Must possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, have pleasant personality, superior customer service, detail orientated, diplomatic with an ability to exercise discretion and maintain privacy, must like helping people in person and on phone. Must show maturity in handling confidential information. Must have experience with a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet and multi-line phone.
