Duties and Responsibilities

We are delighted that you are interested in devoting your expertise and teaching talent to the development of our students! FSU is seeking competent, professional flight instructors who are interested in guiding students to become aviation professionals.

Flight instructors are hired based on the needs of the FSU flight program, which are continually evaluated. Because our needs can change quickly, having your application on file with us is beneficial!

Flight instructor duties include, but are not limited to, conducting pre- and post-flight briefings with the student, providing quality flight and ground instruction in accordance with FSU Training Course Outlines (TCOs) and other guidelines provided by the Chief and Program Manager, conducting simulator instruction, adhering to the appropriate dress-code, and submitting all training documentation in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Instructors must have FAA-approved CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) or CFII (Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument) ratings.
