Duties and Responsibilities

As part of our HRSA grant we need to hire standardized patients, these will be people who will play act and interact with the nursing students following a script. This position is primarily responsible to portray all the characteristics of a real patient, simulating the signs and symptoms of diseases processes for the TRUSTED program HRSA grant telehealth simulations

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Be highly dependable and punctual
- Demonstrate flexibility and reliability with scheduled simulations
- Follow written and verbal instruction
- Possess strong reading skills
- Understand and follow instructions
- Demonstrate the ability to be instructed and trained by the HRSA Program Coordinator
- Provide constructive feedback to nursing students and faculty
- Work in a professional manner when interacting with students, faculty, and staff
- Simulate all aspects of telehealth scenarios, including history of current problem and behavior in a standardized manner for all simulations
- Accept ongoing feedback from faculty and incorporate into the simulations
- Be willing to be audio and videotaped during simulations

Minimum Qualifications

High school education, some college preferred.
