Job Description:

The University of Florida is currently accepting applications for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor of Counselor Education. This is a 12 -month position with teaching, supervision, and clinical administration as primary responsibilities within a CACREP-accredited counselor preparation program.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to teach applied graduate courses in counseling, supervise graduate student field-based experiences, and serve on program, school, college, and university committees.

This 12-month faculty appointment, with the opportunity of renewal, will begin in August, 2022. Salary is negotiable, competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Counselor Education Program is housed within the School of Human Development and Organizational Studies in the College of Education. Responsibilities:

• Teaching graduate-level courses
• Supervising graduate students in school and clinic field-based settings
• Advising and mentoring graduate students, which may include serving on doctoral committees
• Service to the school, college, university, and profession

Expected Salary:

Salary is negotiable, competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

• An earned doctorate in counselor education and supervision
• Licensure (or license eligible) as a professional counselor in Florida or
• Certification (or certification eligible) as a school counselor in Florida

Preferred Qualifications:

• A record of applied practical experience working with diverse client populations in schools or community settings
• Commitment to supporting and mentoring diverse graduate students
