Job Description

Teach, mentor, and advise undergraduate and graduate students/candidates in the areas of Curriculum and Instruction and/or Physical and Health Education. Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Provide service to the department, College, University, community, and profession.

Required Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in Education or related fields. ABD's with a completion date prior to employment (August 2022) will be considered.
• 18 graduate credit hours in Education or Physical Education or related fields.
• Applicants for a senior appointment must have a substantial publication record, current research agenda, a successful record of classroom teaching, and evidence of faculty leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible to hold current teaching certification.
• Three years teaching experience in grades EC - 12 or equivalent.
• Expertise in and commitment to field-based experiences.
• Experience with and/or a commitment to working with culturally-diverse and/or at-risk student populations.
• Experience with online course development and teaching.
• Record or evidence of potential for research and scholarly activities.
