Please note: (Flexible Hybrid Work Schedule) Position is currently a combination of in-office and remote, Ability to work onsite in DC office.

General Functions:

 

Provides high level support to the centralized application service for nursing, NursingCAS, by conducting outreach, initiating communications, and coordinating the recruitment and retention of participating schools. Assists the NursingCAS team with operations and strategic initiatives to achieve growth and user satisfaction. Plans NursingCAS events (e.g., on-site, email campaigns, social media, virtual fairs).

         

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

Assists with the development and execution of an annual recruitment and retention plan to promote the use of NursingCAS. Manage tracking and status of member schools.

Assists with all NursingCAS events for schools and students. Includes annual virtual fair, student and school webinars, advisory group meetings, partner webinars, exhibiting, and sessions at AACN conferences.

Assists with the annual review of NursingCAS configuration portal pages to ensure accuracy of school technological selection for successful cycle launch.

Helps develop and administer surveys, policies, and procedures for participating schools to promote best practices and to facilitate user retention and engagement. Manages online participation agreements, withdrawal forms, and annual NursingCAS renewal survey.

Pulls weekly reports within NursingCAS to provide national trending on applicants, applications, and fee waiver utilization.

Assists with drafting and sending strategic web-based communications and email campaigns for NursingCAS. Manages monthly applicant newsletter, school user newsletter, school recruitment event calendar.

Assists with web-based resources such as blogs and marketing collateral to support growth and outreach for NursingCAS. Assists with social media presence for NursingCAS.

Serves as Knack database manager.  Responsible for updating and maintaining the NursingCAS school participant information, national school recruitment event calendar, tracking school activity, user engagement, event registration, creating reports, and dashboards.

Assists with NursingCAS advisory group meetings and conference calls by coordinating meetings, producing reports, taking notes, and providing support as needed.

Background /Skills / Abilities Required

AACN promotes higher education; therefore, a Baccalaureate degree in communications, marketing or related field is preferred. Equivalent training and work experience may be substituted.

At least two years of related work experience, preferably in higher education or an association. Background with web-based technology and higher education preferred, specifically with admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, membership, or constituent relations.

Must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail oriented, flexible and collaborative, and have good interpersonal and presentation skills. Excellent ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Additional qualifications include website and database management experience, familiarity with social media management, and email marketing tools. Experience with or willingness to learn how to use WordPress or similar web-based content management software system is preferred. Experience with or willingness to learn how to use KnackHQ or a similar membership database and EMP or CRM system preferred. Experience with using a centralized or common application systems (CAS/WebAdMIT), as well as other higher education admissions software products is preferred.

Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with using design and photo software, Higher Logic, or EMP, are preferred but not required.

 

Work Environment

Fast-paced, professional office environment with moderate noise levels.

Must be able to use a computer at a work station for long periods of time and to accommodate potentially frequent interruptions.

Occasional travel required for this position.
