Job Summary
The Laboratory Assistant for the MLT /Phlebotomy program is responsible for ensuring equipment and supplies are prepared and available for student laboratory experiences. In addition, provide support to the faculty member during laboratory experiences to ensure students are practicing and completing competencies in a safe manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Set-up and take down lab with equipment and supplies
• Assist faculty member during lab exercises to ensure safety, adhering to standards
• Clean lab according to OSHA BBP Standard
• Perform inventory and report to Technical Staff Assistant
Minimum Requirements
• AAS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology/Certificate in Phlebotomy
• Credential by ASCP Board of Certification as MLT or PBT
