Job Summary
Please note: These positions will be at the following campuses:
Westerly Satellite (Westerly), Liston (Providence), Flanagan (Lincoln)
The adjunct faculty will have classroom and student laboratory instruction responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Radiography Program and the Community College of Rhode Island. Primary functions are teaching Radiography courses within the program curriculum in a manner the facilitates student success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning in the college classroom and radiography laboratory.
- Instruct students in accordance with the established curriculum.
- Counsel students relative to their progress.
- Contribute to the development and revision of course materials.
- Contribute to a dynamic teaching/learning environment requiring adaptability, creativity and teamwork.
- Use innovative strategies that support student success and recognize diverse learning styles.
- Use technology to enhance instruction and communicate effectively with the campus community.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
- Licensure: RI, MA or CT license as a Radiographer.
- Academic and professional credentials appropriate to the subject content are taught.
- Knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
