Job Summary

The Compliance Ambassador is to understand and monitor student, faculty, and staff for adherence to the College’s safety protocol (see https://ccri.edu/covid-19/) The protocol is vital to keeping all personnel and students at the campus safe from potential infection of COVID -19 Virus.

The Compliance Ambassador shall be assigned an area, building or campus to perform COVID screening. Key responsibilities as an ambassador is to greet students, staff and faculty in a friendly and welcoming manner, screen for temperature and ask COVID19 screening questions. Be prepared to stop symptomatic patients from entering the campus and direct them to surveillance testing area. If needed, contact Campus Police if situation escalates and the COVID19 Surveillance Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Expectations of Compliance Ambassador include but are not limited to:

• Under the general supervision of the COVID19 Surveillance Team, COVID screener acts as the welcoming person to greet and assist students, staff, faculty and visitors, temperature scan, and having them complete the screening questionnaire.
• Infrared temperatures taken at the door and directed to wear a mask the entire time while on campus.
• Coordinates with COVID19 Surveillance Team and contact tracing unit to facilitate RIDOH requests for information.
• Observer for BinaxNow antigen testing on campus, if needed.
• Be in compliance with all College’s safety protocols.
• Any individual out of compliance (student, staff, or faculty) shall be the monitor’s responsibility to document and to remind them they are out of compliance.
• Responsible for documenting individuals not adhering to the college safety protocols.
• Clean and sanitize the table, computer, and materials before and after your shift. If you see anyone out of conformance you must bring it to that individual’s attention. Remember, if you see something you say something.
• Participate in training as identified by the college.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
