Limestone University invites applications for the tenure track position of Program Coordinator and Assistant/Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education and Literacy starting August 2022. The primary responsibilities of the person who occupies this position will include teaching undergraduate courses in Early Childhood and Literacy, advising Early Childhood Teacher Candidates, maintaining accreditation with required reporting, recruitment and retention of candidates, committee work, and other contributions to the academic life of the University.

A doctorate in Early Childhood Education or Literacy or related field with a Master’s degree including 18 graduate hours in Early Childhood and 18 hours in Literacy is required with a minimum of three years of public school teaching experience in Early Childhood grades. Experience with Canvas, LiveText and SCTS 4.0/NIET Evaluation are preferred. A working knowledge of NAEYC Standards for Teacher Preparation is necessary. Experience and skills in leadership and administration at the Program Coordinator level is preferred.
