Summary
Responsible for the research, design, development, analysis, testing and implementation of software operations or application systems. Assists in the maintenance of software research products.
Job Duties
- Develops applications and refines research product requirements.
- Analyzes requirements and develops designs based on selected architectures.
- Ensures design solutions are reliable, secure, efficient and maintainable.
- Maintains simplicity over complexity in designs and user interfaces ensuring usability as core design objectives.
- Provides estimates of scope from designs and participates in design review sessions.
- Delivers design objectives by assuring the quality completion of all coding tasks.
- Assists in research product test planning, documentation and problem resolution.
- Collaborates with developers to perform code reviews on pull requests.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Education
Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master’s degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience
Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
Certification/Licensing
None.

Requires a broad knowledge of principles and practices within a professional field. Work is very non-standardized and widely varied, involving many complex and significant variables.
