This full-time position provides administrative support to the Office of Research and Scholarly Activity.   The Office of Research and Scholarly Activity, (ORSA) in collaboration with academic units, provides administrative support for ACPHS administration, faculty, staff, and students in the initiation, development , execution and compliance of research programs, projects and events.   The Administrative Assistant (AA) will perform highly responsible tasks and confidential work that support the efficient operation and goals of the ORSA, in keeping with policies, procedures, regulations, and rules governing the College. The AA will also take on special projects, as determined by the Director of Research, to include strategies for promoting research opportunities for students and improving the overall research operation at the College.  
  • BS Degree required.
  • 2-3 years of increasingly responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience including administrative or executive secretary experience 
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and Publisher;
  • Familiarity with data management systems (Learning Management Systems (CANVAS), Sharepoint software, social media, web applications and desktop publishing 
  • Knowledge of current administrative practices, procedures and equipment;
  • Ability to work independently yet within a team and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding to diversity and inclusion of College students and employees;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality;
  • Exhibit excellent oral, written and presentation skills;
