Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 515018) to commence as soon as possible on or before April 30, 2023 for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics or a related area, with more than three years of research experience in fabrications of nano-electronic devices and/or low-temperature & low-noise electrical measurements. The applicant must be highly motivated. Priority will be given to those who have operated dilution refrigerator or other ultra-low temperature cryogenic systems and carried out low-noise electrical transport measurements. Those who are expecting to complete the degree before the application deadline will also be considered.

The appointee will pursue research on Quantum Correlations in Engineered 2D Materials that include many interesting topics, such as quantum many body states in ultraclean suspended graphene nanostructures, correlations in moiré-induced nearly flat bands, van der Waals engineered new quantum transport phenomena, and more in the group of Dr. Dongkeun Ki. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
