The School of Social Work at Simmons University seeks adjunct instructors to teach SW509: Evaluation in Social Work Practice to our MSW students in the Spring 2022 semester. The course will be held in-person at our Boston campus.
About the Course
This 3-credit course is designed to prepare students in the basic principles of practice evaluation and their application to social work practice in agency settings. Using both case examples and their agency settings as laboratories, students will learn major approaches to evaluation (needs assessment, process, and outcome) with attention to the value, tensions, and ambiguities related to adapting current evaluation models to agency requirements for evaluation.

Classes will be held in person, with each class session lasting 2 hours and 50 minutes, and they are offered during the day and evening. Class sizes are capped at 22 students. Simmons currently requires that all faculty, staff, and students wear masks, be fully vaccinated, and get weekly COVID testing.
