Position Purpose

Coordinates the academic success and accessibility service support provided to MD and MPH students at the Geisel School of Medicine. Ensures timely and comprehensive support services are provided to students.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp

Bachelors plus 2-3 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Description

Academic Success Support
  • Serves as initial point of contact for new academic inquiries and requests, including office walk-ins
  • Coordinates all tutoring programs, recruiting, onboarding, and managing tutor payments
  • Tracks, coordinates, and schedules all remediation and growth program success team meetings and works with learners to ensure they meet program requirements
  • Coordinates course review sessions
  • Participates in student orientation events, coordinating activities and relaying information about office services
  • Coordinates, schedules, and participates in academic success student panels, workshops, and information sessions
  • Conduct surveys and prepares reports as needed by the Office of Academic Success
  • Collaborates with MD and MPH students, faculty, and staff to ensure efficient interdepartmental communication

Accessibility Services Support
  • Serves as initial point of contact for all accommodation and disability related inquiries
  • Engages in an interactive process with students who request accommodations, as appropriate, shepherding process from initial request to documentation of final approval
  • Maintains accommodated students’ records
  • Supports students with medical board accommodation applications
  • Organizes, conducts, and/or participates in workshops and development sessions

Office Administration
  • Coordinates, attends, records notes, and participates in meetings as requested
  • Prepares a wide variety of materials such as correspondence, committee minutes, reports, and handouts
  • Maintains webpages to provide up-to-date information on services
  • Coordinates use and service of Geisel purchased board preparation applications such as Scholar Rx, UWorld, and NBME assessments
  • Provides administrative support for calendaring, special projects, and meetings as needed
