Job Description:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cape Cod Community College is seeking an energetic, driven, and enthusiastic Senior Admissions Counselor (AC) to provide admissions activities for incoming students. The AC position is a flexible, hybrid position offering on-site and remote work hours determined by operational needs. Due to the nature of the enrollment cycle, occasional weekends and evenings will be required. Travel within southeastern MA, Cape Cod and the Islands is required. This is an integral position within the Admissions and Recruitment Office and is responsible for the delivery of a variety of recruitment programs to support enrollment goals. The Senior Admissions Counselor must possess thorough knowledge of academic programs, financial aid, educational costs, and advising. The successful candidate must have the ability to leverage communication and recruitment efforts to drive applications. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of technology platforms and programs to aid in recruitment in enrollment efforts.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

1. Proactively and extensively recruits prospective students through high-touch, consistent communication via multiple channels including phone, in-person, and remote modalities, including travel within Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Plymouth, and southeastern MA areas, with the goal of moving students through the enrollment funnel.
2. Professionally and enthusiastically, presents information regarding the College, program offerings, structure, cost, financial aid, etc. to prospective students.
3. Schedules and provides information sessions, on-spot admissions, campus tours and individual meetings for prospective students and families to review academic program offerings, financial aid and covering educational costs, career outlook, transfer opportunities, etc. Provides oral presentations via in-person and remote modalities.
4. Serves as academic advisor to incoming students during peak enrollment periods. Guides and assists accepted students through the enrollment on-boarding process including application, financial aid, assessment, and registration activities.
5. Works individually and in-group formats with registered students to provide wrap-around enrollment support to ensure students have completed appropriate enrollment steps prior to the classes starting. Refers students to appropriate support services and resources.
6. Assists director with application review process for new, transfer, and returning students into both associate and certificate academic programs, including international and dual enrollment students.
7. Collaborates across all divisions and departments to maintain program knowledge and understanding of academic offerings.
8. Serves on college committees as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

1. Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a closely related field plus 2 years of experience and/or training involving college admissions, enrollment and/or student services, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2. Ability to evaluate, audit, and assess admissions data.
3. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Possession and maintenance of a valid Massachusetts driver's license.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience with a student information enterprise such as Jenzabar.
2. Experience using multiple channels for communication.
3. Experience working with dual enrollment or similar high school programs.
4. Demonstrated experience working with a diverse population of students.

Additional Information:

COMPENSATION : MCCC Unit Position. Grade 4 Senior Admissions Counselor position salary range of $52,754 - $63,770. Actual salary will be consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program.
