Landmark College is a unique, fully accredited college for neurodivergent students with learning differences (LD; including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and executive function challenges).   Landmark provides an intentionally designed, resource-rich academic and student life model yet is a traditional college in most ways.  Our primary location in beautiful southeastern Vermont provides the setting for an engaged and inclusive college community with the safety of a small, rural campus.  The College is minutes away from ski resorts and other outdoor activities, and within driving distance to cities such as Boston, New York, and Montreal.  A position with Landmark College is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of often overlooked college students and to help us change how the public thinks about education.

We seek a Vice President for Administration & Finance/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to work directly with the President and Board of Trustees to strengthen our complex and growing business model.  The CFO reports to the President and provides leadership and vision in the management of the College’s financial resources. The position carries broad responsibility for fiscal planning, financial records and reporting, investment strategy, cash management and management of institutional debt, as well as primary responsibility for budgeting, risk management, and other key administrative functions. The CFO ensures that timely, accurate financial information is gathered, analyzed, and presented in understandable formats, and implements financial policies that strengthen overall College operations and effectiveness.  The CFO supervises and works as part of the College Administrative & Finance team and provides oversight to other departments.

Landmark College offers competitive wages and an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans; a generous vacation and time off package (four weeks vacation; 15 health-related days; typically 16 paid holidays; and two extraordinary days); a TIAA retirement plan that includes 6% College contribution; tuition reimbursement; and more.  This position offers the opportunity to join the College during an exciting growth phase: a breadth of short-term, online (through LC Online), and 2- and 4-year academic programs are offered; student retention has increased; international enrollment efforts are under way; the College is exploring geographical expansion projects; and enrollment outcomes have been consistent.

Essential Qualifications: A Master’s degree in business, finance, or a related field and experience in a senior level financial management capacity, preferably in higher education, is expected. A CPA is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, financial analysis, investment management, debt financing and the key financial issues facing colleges and universities today is preferred.  Excellent consensus-building skills, independence as well as ability to take direction, superior communication skills, and a growth mindset are expected.

Landmark College offers competitive wages and an excellent benefits package.  Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, résumé, and full contact information for three references (references will not be checked until finalist stage) to the Director of Human Resources: humanresources@landmark.edu. Landmark College is committed to enhancing the diversity of its community in many realms and is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO). To find out more please visit us: www.landmark.edu.
