Summary:

VCU Athletics seeks a Men’s Basketball Video Coordinator to coordinate all video filming and editing for practices and competition as well as film exchange. Reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, the Men’s Basketball Video Coordinator works to further VCU Athletics’ mission to win conference and national championships, provide a first-class student-athlete experience, serve as a source of pride for the University and community, and cultivate graduates who excel as leaders.

Typical Duties
  • Coordinate all video filming and breakdown for practices and competition, including uploading the videos into the editing system. Intended result is to provide another resource to the men's basketball staff and student-athletes in preparation for competing against other institutions;
  • Coordinate and oversee the use of applicable software to provide coaching staff with the resources to create video breakdowns to prepare men's basketball student-athletes for competition;
  • Assist the men's basketball staff in preparation of video breakdowns;
  • Maintain organized system of all game films, practice films, edits, etc.;
  • Coordinate all film exchanges, gaining as much information about opposing teams as possible;
  • Maintain understanding of NCAA and A-10 film exchange policy and procedures; and
  • Oversee all travel with software, including utilization of the software on the road.
Typical Education and Experience

Minimum hiring standards include:
-Bachelor’s degree;
-Collegiate or professional experience with video system and software; and
-Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.

Preferred Hiring Standards Preferred hiring standards include:
-Two (2) years of experience working within college athletics; and
-Advanced degree or demonstrated experience that equates to an advanced degree.
